Heartsaver - First Aid, CPR, AED

Certification from the American Heart Association

The American Heart Association Heartsaver First Aid / CPR / AED course was developed for people with minimal or no training. This course is often taken to satisfy employment or regulatory requirements specific to positions requiring First Aid / CPR cards. Additionally, this course is perfect for anyone who wants to be able to help their family and community in the event of a medical or cardiac emergency.

The Heartsaver First Aid / CPR / AED course provides training in the proper techniques to intervene with First Aid, Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) with and without the use of an Automated External Defibrillator (AED). The course is regularly updated with the most current research and science from the American Heart Association.

The Heartsaver First Aid / CPR / AED class trains the students to aid their family or their community safely and quickly. This course was created for students with little or no prior medical training. Students will learn how to identify and treat medical and injury emergencies, how to contact emergency services, and how to preserve life until help arrives. Who should take this course?

The American Heart Association's First Aid / CPR / AED course is designed for anyone and everyone. No prior medical training is necessary. Once you dial 911, it generally takes 8-15 minutes for emergency medical services to arrive. You cannot afford to wait that long to render aid to a loved one or a member of your community. Blood loss, choking, respiratory distress, and a host of other medical conditions will be fatal in the time it takes for a professional responder to arrive. To bridge that gap, YOU will need to step in and preserve life.

This course is great for anyone who wants to learn how to preserve life. These are skills that camp counselors, lifeguards, school personnel, babysitters, fitness trainers, officer managers, plant supervisors, machine operators, and parents should know. This class could be the difference between life and death for someone you care about.
