CPR Certification and Training
for Dental Practices

Dentists, Dental Hygienists, and office staff are required to be certified in Basic Life Support every two years.

We can provide training to your organization at a time and place that is convenient for you. Let us travel to you and conduct training in your facility, or attend in our dedicated classroom space.

Suggested Courses:

Basic Life Support

Basic Life Support teaches participants to identify and correctly treat several life-threatening emergencies using proper chest compressions, ventilations, and use of an Automatic Electronic Defibrillator (AED). The course is regularly updated with the most current research and science from the American Heart Association.

As a Health Care Provider, the Basic Life Support course is what you should select. The course material is similar to that found in the Heartsaver class, but is tailored to a medical environment where multiple individuals will be responding to a cardiac emergency.

Stop The Bleed

A STOP THE BLEED® course is a blend of lecture (online available) and in-person skills assessments, developed for anyone interested in learning to save lives through stopping the loss of blood. Created and continually refined by The American College of Surgeons, the Stop the Bleed campaign has instructed over one million law enforcement officers, teachers, students, and community members in these life-saving skills.

STOP THE BLEED® courses provide students with three methods to save a life before someone expires from blood loss. Using direct pressure, tourniquets, and packing a wound with gauze, YOU can be the difference in an emergency. Our instructors have personally used these techniques multiple times in their professional and civilian lives to prevent death. Their students have used these skills as well, on the scenes of shootings, automobile accidents, building sites, and in the woods.

Much of the Stop The Bleed ® course can be taken online. There is an in-personal skills assessment that can be performed at the end of most Georgia CPR Certification classes for a minimal cost that covers material and equipment. You can register for the Stop the Bleed skills assessment during your course registration process.

What training options do you offer for Dentists and Dental Offices?

Instructor-Led Course

If your practice has a regularly scheduled date for administrative tasks or training, that is an excellent time to schedule. The Instructor-Led Basic Life Support course generally takes 2.5-3 hours for groups of individuals. This option means that the entire course will be conducted through a blend of lecture, discussion, and practical evaluations.

Because this training is in-person and includes all office staff, attention is paid to reviewing your workplace policies with the staff, identifying concerns the staff / practice owner has, and developing plans of action if a cardiac emergency occurs. This training is an excellent opportunity for team-building or clarifying expectations for a staff.

Blended Learning Course

For practices that do not have the time or interest in the traditional Instructor-Led class, we offer a Blended Learning option to complete your BLS certification.

In this case, each employee would complete the classroom portion of the BLS course digitally. Each attendee would be issued a course access code. Upon receiving that, the employee can log onto the American Heart Association website and complete the classroom portion of the BLS course digitally. The employee can access the course from most devices capable of accessing the internet.

On an agreed-upon date (after all employees have completed the online component), our Instructors will  meet with your staff to conduct the Skills Testing portion of the class. Skills Testing can take place 1-1 or as a group. Skills Testing generally takes approximately 15-60 minutes, dependent on any content to be reviewed or remedial training required.
