CPR Certification and Training for Private Groups and Clubs

Most people who haven't yet experienced a medical emergency or critical incident don't realize how long it takes for help to arrive. For example, in most metropolitan areas, it generally takes takes 8-15 minutes for emergency medical services to arrive once you have dialed 911. You cannot afford to wait that long to render aid to a loved one or a member of your community.

Whether someone is injured as the result of an motor vehicle accident, an Active Killer event, or an unforseen hazard, there isn't much time to act. Blood loss, choking, respiratory distress, and a host of other medical conditions will be fatal in the time it takes for a professional responder to arrive. To bridge that gap, YOU will need to step in and preserve life.

We can tailor a training experience directly to your club, organization, business, or entity. Let us provide you with quality training that will provide entertainment and life-saving skills that you can use to make the world safer for the people around you.

Suggested Courses:

Heartsaver First Aid, CPR, AED

The Heartsaver First Aid / CPR / AED course provides training in the proper techniques to intervene with First Aid, Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) with and without the use of an Automated External Defibrillator (AED). The course is regularly updated with the most current research and science from the American Heart Association.

Infant and Juvenile CPR techniques are all taught in these classes.

The Heartsaver First Aid / CPR / AED class trains the students to aid their family or their community safely and quickly. This course was created for students with little or no prior medical training. Students will learn how to identify and treat medical and injury emergencies, how to contact emergency services, and how to preserve life until help arrives. This course also trains the student to properly provide cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), and how to properly use an automated external defibrillator (AED).

Stop The Bleed

A STOP THE BLEED® course is a blend of lecture (online available) and in-person skills assessments, developed for anyone interested in learning to save lives through stopping the loss of blood. Created and continually refined by The American College of Surgeons, the Stop the Bleed campaign has instructed over one million law enforcement officers, teachers, students, and community members in these life-saving skills.

STOP THE BLEED® courses provide students with three methods to save a life before someone expires from blood loss. Using direct pressure, tourniquets, and packing a wound with gauze, YOU can be the difference in an emergency. Our instructors have personally used these techniques multiple times in their professional and civilian lives to prevent death. Their students have used these skills as well, on the scenes of shootings, automobile accidents, building sites, and in the woods.

Much of the Stop The Bleed ® course can be taken online. There is an in-personal skills assessment that can be performed at the end of most Georgia CPR Certification classes for a minimal cost that covers material and equipment. You can register for the Stop the Bleed skills assessment during your course registration process.

What training options do you offer for my group?

Instructor-Led Course

If your organization has regularly scheduled dates or times for completing where administrative tasks or training, that is an excellent time to schedule.

The Instructor-Led Heartsaver courses are entirely taught in the classroom setting, with an instructor guiding the lesson through lecture, discussion, and practical evaluations / skills testing.

The CPR / AED class takes approximately 3-4 hours. The First Aid course takes approximately 2 hours to complete. The courses can be taken separately, or combined into the same class day.

Because this training is in-person, our instructors usually conduct a review of your organization's policies and emergency action plans (if any exist). This allows the leader or governing body to identify concerns, develop plans of action, and clarify expectations for members and staff. This training is an excellent team-building opportunity when presented by a fun and enthusiastic instructor.

Training can be conducted at your facility or at our dedicated location in Athens, Georgia.

Blended Learning Course

For organizations that do not have the time or interest in the traditional Instructor-Led class, we offer a Blended Learning option to complete your First Aid, CPR, and AED training.

In this case, each student would complete the classroom portion of the course digitally. Each attendee would be issued a course access code. Upon receiving the code, the employee can log onto the American Heart Association website and complete the classroom portion of the BLS course digitally. The employee can complete the course from most devices capable of accessing the internet.

On an agreed-upon date (after all students have completed the online component), our Instructors will  meet with your staff to conduct the Skills Testing portion of the class. Skills Testing can take place 1-1 or as a group. Skills Testing for First Aid, CPR, and AED generally takes approximately 45-60 minutes, dependent on any content to be reviewed or remedial training required.

When can I schedule a course?
